SA-Wehrsportabzeichen für Kriegsversehrte M 1/52 — Deschler & Sohn. SA Stormtroopers Sports Badge for war disabled marked 1/52 with bellied pin with barrel hinge setup, this badge is in the gilt or gold grade and retains its nicely preserved finish: it just shows some minor age and a small oxidation on the top of oak leaves wreath with slight missing of the coating.

It is an extremely rare badge made in a bronze alloy (not zinc as normally) and this example is plated with gold, not bronze, as usual, but in the archives on the internet, the original badges in gilding are really exist, and maybe it's just a luxury version of regular badge due this award has no grades.  However, Niemann in his book claims that the badges were made in three grades.

The badge was received by military personnel after being wounded or injured and having received a disability while passing the corresponding sport's standard. Additional criteria for awarding the SA sports badge for the military disabled were finally formulated on December 15, 1943. The first award was made by the Chief of the SA Schepmann personally on July 12, 1944, at the beginning of total mobilization in the country.  Schepmann awarded over one hundred badges, no other mention of such events was found.
