Wehrmacht M 36 tunic. Excellent condition
Wehrmacht M 36 tunic. Excellent condition. Good large size, about 52. The tunic was issued in 1940, as evidenced by the Erfurt E40 depot markings, and the manufacturer: Hugo Reitzel. The tunic is complete with shoulder straps of the 7th artillery regiment of the Wehrmacht, an early pre-war issue, with a hand-embroidered number 7. Sleeve chevron of an Obergefreiter with more than six years of service, a very infrequent rank in a Wehrmacht, and between the soldiers, the holder of this rank had a nickname: Kommi or Dummi, a communist, or a fool since this rank was given to a soldier who had served in the army for at least 6 years and who by any reason was not able to get more higher rank. Sometimes this rank was given to the soldier who went against the idea of the NSDAP party or got any other service penalties and has been downgraded in rank. The tunic has no damage, it is in excellent collectable condition, without wastage due to age and insects.
