According to the Regulations to be a recipient of the badge «Ready for AACD» (Ready for air and chemical defence) was awarded upon excellent passing of the standards, which included — studying the tasks of AACD, knowledge, and ability to use a gas mask correctly, the ability to provide urgent assistance to victims of fires and other disasters, to be a leader in the professional job and an active participant in OSOAVIAKHIM programs on the work of the anti-chemical defense at the place of permanent residence, work or study. Since the organization of OSAVIAKhIM, more than 38 million people have tried to join its ranks, passing a special training course for this. By 1940, about 10 million applicants were able to pass the norms of the first stage.
