Hero of the Soviet Union guard captain Afanasyev Nikolay Fedorovich — Афанасьев Николай Федорович.

He was a Navy bomber pilot killed in action over Baltic See during the raid against Kriegsmarine ships on August 27th, 1944. 

This is a rare early war photo, can be dated 1941 or 1942. Size about 13 x 9 cm.
