Mother's Cross Third Class, Bronze
The Mother's Cross Third Class, made of bronze, with the inscription «Deutsche Mutter» (German Mother) on the obverse and the date «16 Dezember 1938» on the reverse, signed by Adolf Hitler. The cross is in excellent condition, with no enamel damage, and comes with a full-length ribbon.
History:
The Mother's Cross was established in 1938 by Adolf Hitler to honor women who had given birth to and raised a large number of children in Nazi Germany. The Third Class, in bronze, was awarded to mothers who had four to five children. This decoration became part of Nazi propaganda aimed at encouraging population growth in Germany. The cross was awarded for merit in child-rearing, particularly in the context of the ideology supporting the woman's role as a mother and nurturer.
